More film. HEY YO you people who still shoot 35mm, how do you convert it to digital? What’s your workflow? Because right now what I’m doing works, but kinda saps the image of juicy color and makes the shadows look a little weird. Your input is appreciated.

35mm from Yosemite. // In terms of efficiency and not-pain-in-the-butt-ness, digital photos are so much better, but there’s definitely a certain magic about taking photos on film. The photos feel like your own, y’know? They feel like they were produced out of your own blood, sweat and tears. That’s kind of gross. Never mind. You get the idea.

Splash-o-color latergram from Turkey.

My dear Oma gently passed away early this morning. When I heard the news, I was honestly filled with joy. Where she is now is so much better than anything she could have experienced here. She lived a very full life, and now she’s living an even fuller eternity.

She kept a journal for a while and in one of the entries she wrote, “It makes such a difference when one believes that we live only a short time on this earth, but an eternity in heaven. And the comfort we have that one day we will see our loved ones again. I wonder if they are helping to prepare a place for us.”

Defy genres.
